The CocoGro™ mat is an innovative eco-friendly product made to fit garden365™ planters. The CocoGro™ mats are composed of compressed coco dust and pith, a spongy, peat like highly absorbent substance, encased within a natural latex coir fiber sheet. These versatile mats have excellent water retention properties.  They can hold up to 8 times their weight in water, and consequently are ideal growth support beneath the topsoil. The unique properties of coco pith also make it a good soil-less growing medium. These mats are perforated with holes making them great for starting seeds. Coconut coir has many benefits as a growing medium; it contains significant amounts of phosphorous and potassium and has an optimum pH range of 6 to 6.7.

Environmental Friendly
Coco fiber and pith are both renewable resources and an excellent alternative to peat moss which is often not sustainably harvested.  Coco pith is a by-product of coco fiber production and was considered to be waste before it was rediscovered as an excellent growing medium.

CocoGro™ mats are produced in Sri-Lanka, a small island situated at the southern tip of India. It is the world’s 2nd largest producer of desiccated coconut and the largest exporter of coco fiber and coco pith.
